  • 6 strips of bacon (chopped)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
    • Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Bacon
    • In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
    • Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
    • Leave about 2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet; discard the rest.
