Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika optional
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 8 oz pasta penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk
  • cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook the Beef:
  2. In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks (about 5–7 minutes). Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics:
  4. Add the diced onion and cook for another 3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Add the Sauce & Liquid:
  6. Pour in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
  7. Cook the Pasta:
  8. Add the uncooked pasta directly into the pot. Stir to coat the pasta in the sauce. Cover and let it simmer over medium-low heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender. If the mixture gets too thick, add a little more broth or water.
  9. Make it Creamy:
  10. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 2 more minutes for a rich, creamy texture.
  11. Add Cheese & Finish:
  12. Turn off the heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and combined. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil for a pop of color and flavor.
  13. Serve & Enjoy:
  14. Serve hot with garlic bread or a simple side salad for a complete meal!
